Also, in the first panel it almost looks like Dynamo and Eternal Flame are holding hands. (Yes, I can tell that they aren’t, but I had to look twice).

His first costume had a skin-tight fitted cowl and his second was a turban. So this is the first time we’re seeing his hair, I think.

2) manspreading is a specific phenomenon where men occupy more physical space than they need *in a context that deprives other people of space*. It doesn’t apply to somewhere like this where there’s plenty of space for everyone
Also, considering we gents wear our fragile reproductive organs on the outside, and lack the broad hips of women providing extra space between our thighs, it’s honestly not very comfortable to sit with our knees close together. Even Blaze there is only crossing his legs because he’s gaying it up as hard as he can now (and he still might have needed to make a discrete adjustment before he could put his legs in that position without hurting himself).

Though with regard to EB’s posture I find it’s either one or the other that’s
comfortable -sprawl out or cover up, but in between’s no good.
My guess is that sprawling is better for temperature regulation (important for preserving sperm viability in the testes) while crossing is a superior defensive posture. Crossing also forces one’s posture upright, which itself is a defensive advantage.
Incidentally while gender is a social construct sex isn’t and while there are rare instances (non-surgically induced) of people with both sets of genitalia, there _aren’t_ cases of both sets entirely functioning -ie someone capable of both inseminating another and of becoming pregnant.
Genitals also tend not to be hormone compatible as an erection requires testosterone and fatty tissues, even delightful ones like breasts, generate estrogen. It’s just evolutionarily hard to do it all as even cases like parthenogenesis or with species capable of swapping sexes those abilities are the rarity in nature compared to the simplicity of two conventionally distinct sexes.
All that said I’ll preempt the obvious attacks a bit and point out that my assertions have at least a partial basis in actual scientific knowledge and that it’s pretty sad to prove Fox News right when information is suppressed to cater to demands of “political correctness.”

Individual sex characteristics aren’t socially constructed, but their classification *as* sex characteristics is. And, um… breasts don’t produce oestrogen :s if you’re gonna use biology to support your ideology, at least try to *know* basic high school level biology first
If it’s actually painful, or even just uncomfortable, for you to sit with your knees closer together than Dynamo’s are, you should probably bring that up next time you see a doctor. Obviously crushing your legs closed so there’s no room between them at all isn’t great, but you should at least be capable of sitting in such a way that your knees aren’t wider apart than your shoulders. Those guys who find it painful to sit in any way other than one which takes up more than a single seat’s worth of space on crowded public transport have a serious problem, and need to seek medical attention before it robs them of their ability to procreate.
Oh, and another reason why this isn’t manspreading is… well, it’s difficult to tell from this angle, but his legs don’t *look* much further apart than his shoulders. So he’s not taking up more space with them than his body takes up *anyway* regardless of what he does
@Allie – If you take depth-perception into account, he actually appears to be just past the borderline for “manspreading.”

Nice touch with Little Sappho’s Gaydar tracking.
First off, loving your comic. My daughter and I are thoroughly enjoying going through the archives, having just discovered GynoStar through Facebook. The Happy Homemaker/ SAHM plot was so on target and relate-able to my experiences reentering the workforce.
Second, this arc is cracking me up partly because one of my friends role-played a similar character to The Eternal Flame, and his powers, I believe, were also linked to his comfort level with self-expression.
And, a quick thank you for not calling their group The Social Justice Warriors, because that would be too on-the-nose and tacky. 😉
(Looking forward to the ace storyline, which is what brought me here in the first place, LOL)
