I love your strip but do you have to knock on online degrees? They are just as much work as attending a traditional school, sometimes more considering that all work is submitted in writing rather than class participation. Students already face enough uninformed stigmas regarding their path to education without it being further lessened by a feminist superhero. I would have expected that Gyno-Star would support online education since the majority of students are female adult returning students, rather than kids right out of high school, who are trying to make a better future in their careers while balancing full time jobs and families. I personally work 50 hours a week and in my “free time” go to school full time. I go to school online because I want a better future but my work schedule is not flexible enough to allow for scheduled class time. In two years I will have a Bachelor’s in Information Technology and I currently have a 4.0. Are you truly going to say that my degree is worth less then the 20 year old kid who attends class drunk daily and barely graduates by the end?
I’m glad you like the strip. But it’s not in any way knocking online degrees.
The joke is that Stay at Home Mommy is highly educated due to her online degrees, not that her degrees are worthless. That’s why she’s immune to the enlightening ray. The only reason they’re online degrees as opposed to traditional degrees is that she’s an insanely devoted housewife, so she has to do everything from home.
Oh my god. I just thought of a housewife doing a cover of “Like a boss” only it’s “In my House”
